I wonder what it would have been like to be a teenager in the Age of the Internet Cool Kids?
I think it would have been exhausting and I am actually really, really glad that all this shit wasn’t around when we were kids. It was so much easier to only have Bootlegger as a style influence or maybe Oronge if you had some coin. Additionally, how much would it have fucking sucked to be sitting at home on a Friday night, watching facebook explode in real time with pictures and updates of all the cool kids having the best time at some party you weren’t invited to? At least when we were in high school all we had to deal with were rumours (real rumous, not internetted ones) and the occasional 4x6 photo that showed up two weeks after the fact because that’s how long it took to get them processed.
